Vision Event Photography

Location: Rocky Mountaineer Station

As you can see from my BLOGS that I do a lot of charity work. Now I have many paying clients, but the reward I get from charity work is priceless!

Some events hit me right in the heart muscle. This was one of those events. Some of the speeches coming from the parents or the volunteer organizers that go to Camp Goodtimes…I had to put the camera down and wipe my tears. It is truly amazing work what these people do to help children in need.

I read somewhere that 99% of what humans do is selfish. Well, I don’t see that here with these people. Something truly remarkable has changed within the human species over the last couple thousand years. We have gone from just taking care of ourselves, to helping the family, to now helping anyone in need.

I can only imagine where we will be in a thousand more if we keep this up.

Photography Tips:
-It’s OK to cry…but suck it up as you’ll miss all the great shots sobbing over your camera and then having to dry your lens with your shirt
-Kids are fun. Become one when you are shooting them. They’ll open up to you if you have fun.
-Live each and every day to the fullest. Count your blessings as there are many people out there that don’t have it as good as you.
